Community Foundation for Southwest Washington ensconced on Officers Row

The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, founded in 1984 with a $200,000 unrestricted gift and now managing some 200 separate funds valued at more than $36 million, has moved its headquarters to 1053 Officers Row.

“We are part of the community, and this is our community’s best address,” says Nancy Sourek, the foundation’s executive director.

The new headquarters, just west of the Grant House, includes a community meeting room, with state-of-the-art electronics, and a catering kitchen.

Sourek says the community room, which will seat 20 comfortably, is the result of a gift from the Landerholm, Memovich, Lansverk & Whitesides law firm.
