Bill Fromhold gets House
State Rep. Bill Fromhold, (D-49th), now in his fourth term in the legislature, has been named chairman of the House Capital Budget Committee. The House Capital Budget Committee considers the state capital budget, which approves money for the construction and repair of public buildings, including public college and university buildings. Fromhold maintains his membership on the House Appropriations Committee and is a member of the appropriations subcommittee of the House Education Committee. He is also a member of the State Committee on Pension Policy. The 2007 state legislature convenes in Olympia on Monday, Jan. 8. ROCKETSHOP SIGNS AS AGENCY

Rocketshop, the Vancouver-based full-service marketing and advertising firm, is expanding by adding Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas to its client base. delivers Oregon-born photographer and author Chuck Williams delivers the final lecture in the Clark County Historical Museum 2006 series of presentations on the Lewis and Clark Expedition and the Oregon Trail, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in the museum at 1511 Main Street. There is no admission charge. Williams is a Cascade Indian and an enrolled member of the Confederated Grand Ronde Tribes. He presents a unique perspective during his lecture, “We Were Here When the Pioneers Arrived: American Indians at the End of the Oregon Trail.” Williams has published books on Mount St. Helens and the Bridge of the Gods. December is the final month of the museum’s Native American exhibit of art, “Full Circle: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.” The museum’s galleries and museum store will be open. Thursday.
