Sara Case joins piano school
as development coordinator

Sara Case has joined the School of Piano Technology for the Blind as development director, reports executive director Len Leger.

Case will focus on increasing financial support for the nonprofit organization by raising awareness of the accredited, state licensed school and through promotional events.

Case most recently was director of annual giving at Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pa. She previously had been an income development specialist for the American Cancer Society, Bethlehem, Pa. She is a graduate of Lafayette College, Easton, Pa.

The School of Piano provides specialized training to blind and visually impaired individuals leading to careers in piano technology.

Art on the Boulevard show opens
with artist’s reception Friday

An artists reception for landscape painter Maia Leisz and ceramic sculptor DJ Myles is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, in the Art on the Boulevard gallery in the Vancouver Marketplace, Columbia Street Evergreen Boulevard.

There is no admission charge. The exhibit will continue 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday through March 31.

Southwest Washington Wind Symphony
presents Ravel and Offenbach Sunday

Maurice Ravel’s Bolero and Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld highlight the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony’s free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in Mountain View High School. The concert will be conducted by Tim Siess and guest conductor Lewis Norfleet.

Public Playhouse presenting
The Boys Next Door

Tom Griffin’s comedy The Boys Next Door, directed by John Milberg, is being presented Fridays and Saturdays during March in the Decker Theatre in the Clark College Frost Arts Center. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. are March 11, 18, 25 and April 1.

The local cast is as follows: Robert Alsman, Jessica Geffen, David Hudkins, Debra Hudkins, Sean Kelly, Dustin Milberg, David Millstone, Jess Prichard and Gary Romans.

The Greater Clark County Rotary's annual rose sale is underway with delivery scheduled for Thursday, March 22, throughout the Clark County and the Portland metro area. Rotarians will sell and deliver over 2,800 boxed, long-stemmed roses at $25 a dozen in support of Rotary children’s and community projects.
