Kim Capeloto, one of the earliest team members at the Bank of Clark County when it was formed eight years ago, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer, reports the bank’s president and chief executive officer Mike Worthy. Worthy will continue to serve as the chief executive officer and will focus additional energy on the company’s expansion plans and other strategic opportunities. In his new role, Capeloto will continue to lead the bank’s operations, deposit business development, information technology, human resources and marketing divisions. “This promotion acknowledges Capeloto’s exceptional service to the company and his key role in daily operations,” Worthy said. Capeloto was one of the bank’s earliest team members and has overseen growth at the bank to its current size of $345 million in assets. Capeloto is a 20-year veteran in banking. county A $670,064.61 federal grant has been awarded to the Clark County auditor’s office to reimburse the county for the cost of a computer application that will validate signatures on the outer envelope of ballots mailed to the county Elections Department. County auditor Greg Kimsey says the new application, expected to be ready for the early 2008 elections, will save the Elections Department about $40,000 a year in temporary labor costs. Currently the outer envelopes returned by voters are manually validated. The auditor’s office applied for the grant through the Federal Help America Vote Act.
