These travel routes range from major urban thoroughfares to backcountry lanes. All require inspection and upkeep. Starting this month, county Public Works will begin maintenance on nearly 100 miles of roadway around the county by applying a range of new overlays on existing road surfaces. Or, if necessary, workers may remove and replace deteriorating surfaces.
