Connie Diamond gets
to Assistant VP
Connie Diamond has been promoted to assistant vice president and assistant loan officer in the commercial and industrial lending division at the Bank of Clark County. Diamond joined the Bank of Clark County in 2004. She has 35 years’ banking experience, including work in operations research and international banking. equipment for Sgt. Brad Crawford An open house to plan for playground equipment for the 2.5-acre Sgt. Brad Crawford Park in Felida is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, in the Felida Fire Station, 11600 NW Lakeshore Avenue. The park at NW 131st Street and NW 47th Avenue was named in honor of former Clark County deputy sheriff Brad Crawford, who was killed in the line of duty on July 30, 2004. Crawford had been active in Felida neighborhood affairs. WSU falls to 188 in national college rankings Washington State University fell from 118 to 188th in the 2007 U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of national universities, according to the WSU newspaper The Daily Evergreen. WSU rated 58 among U.S. public universities, the same rating it held last year. The University of Washington was ranked 42. Irish named host for Mayors’ La Center Mayor Jim Irish has been named hosting mayor of Clark County’s sixth annual Mayors’ and Community Leaders’ Prayer Breakfast, which will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Hilton Vancouver Washington. The keynote speaker is author and publisher Karen Kingsbury. Testimonial speaker is Rick Campbell, COO, U.S. Digital. Georgene Rice, KPDQ radio, will provide musical entertainment. YWCA volunteers sought Volunteers to help foster care children, advocate for victims of sexual assault, represent abused and neglected children and facilitate support groups for SafeChoice domestic violence programs are being sought by the YWCA of Clark County, reports spokesperson Al Flory. The YWCA focuses on empowering women, preventing violence and eliminating racism and all forms of oppression. During the past year the YWCA served over 10,000 men women and children in the community. News brief First Independent Bank has earned the bank rating and research firm Bauer Financial Inc. five-star rating for safety and soundness for the 74th consecutive quarter.
