Bank of Clark County to open
The Bank of Clark County is remodeling a 7,000 square-foot building at First Street and 164th Avenue in east Vancouver. The first branch of the bank will open in the first quarter of 2008, according to chairman of the board Mike Worthy. Designed to serve
east Clark County, the bank will be a full-service business
banking and commercial lending office, similar in design to
the downtown Vancouver office on Mill Plain Boulevard. "We
look forward to expanding our presence in a market already
served daily by our couriers," said Worthy. Vancouver AIA

talking rail overpass Port of Ridgefield commissioners are presenting plans for a proposed rail overpass in downtown Ridgefield during an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. today in port offices at 111 W Division Street. The port proposal calls for an overpass crossing the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad right-of-way at Pioneer Street and for closing the two grade crossings at Mill and Division Streets. The overpass would connect downtown Ridgefield with the Port’s waterfront area on Lake River. An overpass would be a safety improvement, according to port officials, and would also allow trains to move through Ridgefield faster, with less whistle blowing. Chandra Kroll named
