State Economic Development Services go local, almost

Gov. Chris Gregoire today announced the opening of seven regional offices across Washington “to provide greater access to state resources for economic development organizations, communities and industries.”

The offices, according to the governor, are regional locations of the Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development, and are an important component of her 10-year business strategy for the state.

The only problem locally is that the office serving Clark County is in the Satsop Industrial Park in Grays Harbor County That location will serve Grays Harbor, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Lewis, Cowlitz, Clark, and Skamania Counties.

Other offices in the state are at Spokane, Colville, Kennewick, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, Mount Vernon, Seattle and Shelton.
