Congressional candidate Christine Webb
making Clark County appearance Thursday

Republican candidate for Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, Christine Webb, Tumwater, will be at a root beer social from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12. The event in her honor is in the Clark County Republican Headquarters, 7736 NE Hazel Dell Avenue.

Webb, South Lewis County Chamber economic development director, is a Republican state committeewoman and former member of the House Republican Organizational Committee.

Webb is running for the seat held by Democrat Brian Baird. Also in that race is Democrat Cheryl Crist, Olympia, and Republican Michael Delavar, Washougal.

Leadership Clark County
graduating 35 on Friday

Leadership Clark County honors its 15th class in 7 p.m. Friday, June 13, ceremonies at Washington State University Vancouver. Tom Mears, chairman of the board of The Holland, is graduation speaker. Representing the Class of 2008 is Nelson Holmberg.

Emmy Award winning Garrett Russo has been appointed communications director for U.S. Rep. Brian Baird (D-3). A former television newsman, Russo is a graduate of the University of Miami and studied at Exeter College at the University of Oxford.
