Victoria Rowell to keynote
YWCA benefit luncheon

Victoria Rowell, author, and former star of the TV soap The Young and the Restless, is the keynote speaker for the 2008 YWCA of Clark County benefit luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Hilton Vancouver Washington.

Rowell's book, The Women who Raised Me, depicts her childhood growing up in foster care. The book won the Outstanding Debut Author award from the NAACP. Rowell has also won eleven NAACP Image Awards, the United Nations Association Award, the National Angel in Adoption award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, and honorary degrees from the University of Southern Maine and Wheelock College.

Tickets are $35. To purchase a table or individual seats, please call 906-4301 or e-mail kliles@ywcaclarkcounty.org.
