Annual Kiwanis grapefruit sale begins November 14
Don’t miss out! Time to stock up on Ruby Reds

Clark County's six Kiwanis clubs will launch their 26th annual "Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit Sale" on Thursday, November 13.

That's when Kiwanians from throughout Clark County will once again unload their Vancouver-direct truckload of the prime Texas fruit for their annual fund-raiser to support a dozen or more of their child-related causes.

Straight from the Texas orchard, the fruit is top-of-the-crop and will keep for weeks if stored in a cool place. Noted for being plump, sweet and juicy, the Ruby Reds are the state fruit of Texas and are grown in the lower Rio Grande Valley.

The Price is $16 per case of 18-20 grapefruit.  Last year, the 1500 cases sold within two weeks.  Most went to repeat customers from past years.

Sale organizers said the annual grapefruit sale began its 26-year history in 1982 with a modest order from the Fort Vancouver club. It has now grown into all six Clark County clubs and the 1500-case truckload.

The grapefruit is guaranteed.  Many buyers are on a repeat list, but orders can be arranged by calling Bill Corey at 256-1143, or Gregg Butts at 694-1306, or Nita and Bill at 892-6897.
