Empower Up offers free resources
Empower Up, Clark County’s computer education and reuse nonprofit organization, offers several free computer classes and resources at its center at 5000 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite 101, in Vancouver.
Courses include an introduction to the Internet for those with little or no computer experience, offered weekly. A guide to creating an online profile and resume using the Linked-In business networking site is offered monthly. The organization also offers one-on-one mentoring for those using online services.
A free Internet cafe, offering use of computers and access to the World Wide Web, is available from 1 to 5 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
