VDA goes to bat for baseball

Late last week, the Vancouver Downtown Association released a statement supporting the proposal to bring baseball to the city:
“The stadium would be a tremendous community asset,” the statement said in part, “The Bears would become a wonderful regional draw and fulfill a need that has been evident in the Portland Area for some time. Our projects are focused on making our downtown an economic driver for our region. We want to attract more businesses and the jobs that they will bring.”
Vancouver’s Downtown Association is a nonprofit with the purposes of uplifting, unifying, and promoting Vancouver’s downtown.
