He says his
office has already had inquiries for exposition

Homeless
shelters turning away families; funding sought for
temporary assistance
Homeless,
families are being turned away from local shelters,
according to Sally
Erickson, director of the Clark County
Council for the Homeless.
An enormous
increase in homelessness is being met by a
cooperative effort of over 20 nonprofit, church and
governmental organizations trying to provide
emergency overflow shelters in churches and other
locations.
Erickson
says, cots and bedding are needed for emergency
shelters, as are volunteers to help run the
shelters.
A cot and two
sets of bedding can be bought for $100, and she
says, and an estimated 1,200 sets are needed.
Donations will be accepted by the council by calling
993-9570.
Potential volunteers for emergency shelter duty
should call 695-7658,
