County builders get
national association award for fire sprinkler education program
For a local program
developed for the Camas Fire Department, the Building Industry
Association of Clark County has received a Local Government
Achievement Award from the National Association of Home
Builders.
With the fire department

out the value of fire sprinklers in new home construction.
The education program

but stops short of making the system mandatory.
“Our fire sprinkler
education program is an innovative, proactive approach to
protecting homeowners without additional regulations,” according
to Matthew Clarkson,
immediate past president of the local building industry
