Scott Horenstein 2004 First Citizen

Scott Horenstein, Vancouver attorney, who “over several decades has developed a record of exceptional and passionate service in Southwest Washington,” has been named Clark County’s First Citizen for 2004 by the Community Foundation.

Horenstein is distinguished by the variety of activities he participates in, according to one of several nominators. Horenstein helps provide free legal services to the disadvantaged, works with the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Washington, and supports parks and recreation and the Clark County Fair. His range of civic activities includes Identity Clark County and the Vancouver School District.

Surprised by the news yesterday, Horenstein’s comment was typical: “I’m hugely surprised. Wow!”

Horenstein will be honored at a 4-to-6 p.m. reception, Thursday, June 3, in the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay. For required reservations, call Leadership Clark County, 694-2588.
