Trent Kunz
Jonathan Gill, a business
and civil litigator, and Trent
Kunz, who specializes in business law, estate planning
and taxation, have joined the Vancouver law firm of Blair
Schaefer Hutchison and Wolfe.
Gill, who earned his law
degree from the University of California, is a past president
and a member of the board of directors of Y’s Men International,
an organization that raises funds for charitable purposes,
including the YMCA, and is a member of Afifi Shrine. He is
licensed to practice in Washington, Oregon and California.
Kunz, who earned his law
degree from the
UCLA School of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from the University
of Washington Law School, is an adjunct professor at Clark
College. He is president of the board of Disability Resources of
Southwest Washington and a member of the board of Healing Winds
Therapeutic Riding Center. He is licensed to practice in
Washington and Oregon.
Civil Disturbance to
play for Special Olympics barbecue in Esther Short Park
Wednesday
The Vancouver Police
Department’s benefit band Civil
Disturbance will play from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June
2, in Esther Short Park during the Law Enforcement Torch Run to
benefit the Special Olympics, Washington.
A barbecue will be served
from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations of all sizes will be
accepted.
The Law Enforcement Torch
Run begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday, from the Vancouver Police
Administration building, 605 E Evergreen Boulevard. Vancouver
police officers will then hand off the torch to Clark County
sheriff’s deputies at the Clark County fairgrounds.

A reception honoring
Scott Horenstein’s
selection as Vancouver’s First Citizen for 2004 is 4 to 6 p.m.
Thursday June 3, in the Red Lion Hotel at the Quay. Horenstein,
a Vancouver attorney, was selected by the Community Foundation
for Southwest Washington for the award, based on his exemplary
citizenship and outstanding community contributions.
