launching on-line bid information
Although the method of completing bids for
contracts with the Port of Vancouver will remain manual and according to
particular bid specifications, bid registration and access can now be
accomplished online, reports Marureen Chan Hefflin, port spokesperson.
Called eBid, the system will allow businesses and vendors to
register online, view current bid openings, download proposals and bid
documents, including electronic plans and specifications, receive electronic
notifications, and view bid results and contract awards.
New vendors and businesses may register at any time. Vendors
and businesses currently registered with the port's small works roster, master
architecture and engineering roster, or general vendor roster should register
using the eBid system by August 30.
