Diane Stites named VHA director of
finance and asset management

Diane Stites has been named director of development and asset management for the Vancouver Housing Authority, where she will assist VHA executive director Kurt Creager with new projects that are expected to develop as the authority begins to take on new projects which will involve a greater mix of commercial developments.

For the past four years, Stites had been chief operating officer for the housing authority. Prior to that she worked with the Portland Development Commission.

The new job, according to Creager best suits Stites skill, interest and expertise.

Just last month the Vancouver City Council expanded the housing authority’s role in the community by designating a public development authority, enabling the organization to take an expanded role in creating projects similar to the city’s own downtown redevelopment.

One of the first is expected to involve the commercially developing Fourth Plain Boulevard corridor.
