Legacy opening set over

Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital’s opening will be delayed one week. The new hospital will be open for business on Monday, Aug. 22, Legacy Health System President and CEO Robert Pallari reports.

“We have experienced delays in receiving some supplies that are critical to our emergency surgical services,” Pallari explained. “We now have the supplies, but the delays have backed up our timetable for having the operating rooms supplied and the staff trained. Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital will not open until we can meet our organization’s high standards for excellent clinical care, patient safety and physician service. We will definitely be open on Monday, Aug. 22.”

Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital will provide a full range of hospital services and has built two large medical offices for physicians in order to serve southwest Washington residents. The hospital has been approved for 220 patient beds, which includes a 15-bed neonatal intensive care unit. The current Legacy Salmon Creek medical staff has credentialed more than 400 physicians.

Legacy Health System is a regional health system operating five hospitals, 17 physician clinics, and other medical services.
