CREDC honors Ron Frederiksen and Doug Ness

The Columbia River Economic Development Council today presented Pillars of Excellence Awards to two past chairmen of the board, Ron Frederiksen and Doug Ness.

Frederiksen was cited for his efforts as chairman during the past year and for his support for expansion of existing businesses, and for his efforts in leading CREDC’s capital campaign.

Ness, retiring from the CREDC board after two six-year terms, was cited for his leadership of the CREDC Blue Sky Committee, promoting expansion of business recruitment and marketing, and subsequent transformation of CREDC from a membership to an investor-driven organization.

Email to the editor:

Hi Tony

I was referred to you by Shannon Decker and Kim Capeloto at Bank of Clark County to see if you could help us get the word out about an account we just set up at the Bank of Clark County for our friend George Wong.

George is a bartender/server (formerly at the Restaurant at the Reserve and now at 1220 Main) and his loyal “followers” are known as “Friends of George” or “FOG” members.

George is having surgery today for diverticulitis at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital and may be in the hospital for up to 3 weeks. He is expected to make a full recovery. However, he doesn’t have health insurance.

We’d like to get the word out to “Friends of George” about this account and give them the information they need if they would like to contribute to it.

Thanks

Maureen Burke
