Columbia River Mental Health Services sees record job placements

Clearview Employment Services, a department of Columbia River Mental Health Services, has placed a record number of people in new jobs. Since July 1, forty-two new jobs were created and staffed, with ten of these in the last three days.

CRMHS’ job developers work with a network of local employers to identify and tailor jobs for a specific client, then work with each individual client, preparing and training him or her for success. Often, the job developer will accompany the new employee at the job site to ensure that both employee and employer are a good match.

Misty Bruun, program manager, says that: “over the years we have found that having a job is one of the key parts of recovery from mental health issues.  We are pleased that our clients’ success also helps our local economy recover.  It’s a homegrown stimulus package where everybody wins."
